Task 3
Task 3: collecting individual and collective on-road traffic data
Task 3 is twofold:
- The first objective is designed to collect individual data and count data on a highway in the south of Grenoble. The individual data will be collected using a magnetometer network. The measured data define the magnetic characteristics of each vehicle. The used sensors are punctual type and low-intrusive. The magnetometer networks are installed in several highway areas and on the inputs/ outputs of an interchange called “Rondeau”. For each measurement area, the measure device is composed of four magnetometers allowing measuring timestamp, length, speed and three-dimensional signature of the vehicles.
The second objective is to propose mean traffic data that can be used to complete the pollution measurements made in task 2. Four periods of two weeks are available, corresponding with the pollution measurement periods.
